TEDA explores ways of green innovation to create a cutting-edge green manufacturing system with complete industrial chain.

Green Services

By the end of 2024, TEDA had 206 third-party green service institutions. It incubated the Tianjin TEDA Eco Center, which serves as the secretariat of the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks.

TEDA Eco Center

Established in 2010, the TEDA Eco Center is the first public service platform in China dedicated to promoting regional low-carbon development. It operates as the National Carbon Market Capacity Building (Tianjin) Center and other national-level bases, while also serving as the secretariat of the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China and the China Liaison Office of the Global Alliance of Special Economic Zones. The center has provided green training, industrial matchmaking, and other services to over 400 parks and more than 2,000 enterprises across 31 provinces in China.

Tianjin Climate Exchange

Established in September 2008, Tianjin Climate Exchange is one of China’s first comprehensive environmental rights trading platforms. It is also among the first batch of national filing and trading institutions for voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction programs. Designated as the trading platform for Tianjin’s regional carbon market and major pollutants market, it has gradually evolved into a critical market platform supporting government, industry, academia, research institutions, and market participants in promoting green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.

Green Manufacturing

TEDA is committed to establishing “green factories”, and strives to be a front runner of energy efficiency. We enhance the management of key energy consumers in the region, and promote the green transformation of industries. To date, we boasts 37 national-level green factories, 13 national-level green supply chain management enterprises, 73 Tianjin municipal-level green factories, and 4 municipal-level green supply chain management enterprises. This has initially created a cluster effect that demonstrates the benefits of green manufacturing.
