The 2026 Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area Sustainable Development (ESG) Report Officially Released

Recently, TEDA officially released The 2026 Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area Sustainable Development (ESG) Report. This marks the third consecutive year that TEDA has compiled and published an ESG report, providing a comprehensive showcase of its collaborative development achievements across environmental, social, and governance sectors, and offering a "TEDA Model" for the green transformation of national-level development zones.
ESG is an acronym for Environmental, Social, and Governance, a concept first introduced by the United Nations in 2004. Over more than two decades, the ESG evaluation system has evolved into a widely adopted methodology by financial institutions and leading enterprises to assess sustainability performance, serving as a critical pathway and mechanism for countries to drive sustainable development. The core principle of ESG is that corporate operations and financial activities shall not focus solely on economic performance, but must simultaneously integrate environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and corporate governance to achieve long-term sustainability.
