PPG Named to Newsweek’s 2025 Global Leading Environmental Companies List
PPG has been named to Newsweek magazine’s 2025 list of Global Leading Environmental Companies. The list was compiled by GIST and Plant-A Insights Group based on a comprehensive analysis of companies’ self-disclosed data of sustainable development. From over 8,000 companies evaluated, a total of 750 were ultimately selected.
“By putting sustainable innovation into the center of our business strategy, we are able to offer our customers solutions with sustainable advantages that drive growth,” said Peter Votruba-Drzal, PPG’s Vice President of Global Sustainability.
PPG, headquartered in Pittsburgh, USA, develops and delivers trusted paints, coatings, and specialty materials to customers. Its operations and research and development institutions are located in over 70 countries worldwide. PPG Coatings (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. has been a cornerstone of the company’s presence in China since its establishment in TEDA in 1994. Today, it has grown into PPG’s largest coatings manufacturing base globally.
In addition, PPG has also established two major international R&D centers in TEDA: the PPG Global Coatings Innovation Research Institute and the PPG EV and Smart Mobility Innovation Application Center. In May this year, the PPG Automotive Coatings Color Innovation Studio was launched in TEDA, marking another strategic move for the company in the Chinese market and demonstrating PPG’s strong confidence in its continued growth in the China mark.
