Mind Tianjin Plant Begins Production in TEDA

Recently, the new Mind Thermal System and Optoelectronics project of Great Wall Motor Company Limited officially commenced production in TEDA. The plant is planned to house two specialized production facilities—optoelectronics and thermal systems—with a total investment of approximately RMB 1 billion. It primarily manufactures core components such as automotive lighting, air conditioning assemblies, cooling modules, and on-board refrigerators, with a designed annual production capacity of 400,000 units. Once the project reaches full capacity, it is expected to generate an annual output value of RMB 3 billion and create 1,400 new jobs. This will further enhance Great Wall Motor’s localized parts supply chain and strengthen supply chain synergy, injecting strong momentum into the coordinated development of the automotive industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Located just 300 meters from the GWM Tianjin Vehicle Manufacturing Base, Mind Tianjin Plant is committed to being a modern benchmark facility that integrates intelligence, green practices, and intensive operations. The plant focuses on meeting the supporting needs of new-category vehicle models, with all products developed based on GWM’s One platform. This operational model, characterized by zero-distance supporting, intelligent manufacturing, and platform-based collaboration, has significantly enhanced the plant’s capacity to deeply coordinate with GWM.

On its initial production stage, Mind Tianjin Plant is scheduled to gradually commission the second-phase equipment for its thermal systems in the second half of this year. Additionally, new types of electronic components will be introduced to continuously strengthen its core product competitiveness.
