TEDA Chip Valley Inaugurated

TEDA Chip Valley was recently inaugurated. As a new engine for TEDA to upgrade its integrated circuit (IC) industry, the Valley is set to build a full industrial chain presence, attract leading enterprises, and pool innovation resources, thereby laying a solid foundation for establishing a premier IC industry hub in northern China.

Located in the TEDA Microelectronics Innovation Industrial Park, the Valley centers around the park's investment and service building, with its impact radiating throughout the park. It aims to create a specialized IC park that integrates R&D, production, incubation, and services.

TEDA Microelectronics Innovation Industrial Park is one of the benchmark parks in China’s electronic information sector with the highest investment density and per-unit output. The park has registered 155 enterprises to date, attracted a total investment of 2.595 billion US dollars, and achieved an annual output value exceeding 36 billion yuan in 2025.

After its establishment, TEDA Chip Valley will become the hub for the innovative development of the integrated circuit industry in TEDA and even the entire Tianjin municipality. Currently, it has brought together a number of leading industry players such as NXP, Empyrean Technology Co., Ltd., and OmniVision Group, establishing a full-chain industrial layout covering EDA, design, packaging, testing, and equipment, while fostering a robust ecosystem of collaboration between upstream and downstream sectors.

To support the high-quality development of the integrated circuit industry in the Valley, TEDA has made precise efforts across six key dimensions: policies, infrastructure, talent, funds, industry alliances, and costs. By establishing a full-process, all-round, and full-cycle industrial support system, TEDA ensures that enterprises are effectively attracted, retained, and enabled to thrive, thereby further promoting innovation-driven growth in the integrated circuit industry.
