Asymchem’s New Project Lands in TEDA with Total Investment of 2 Billion Yuan

On April 14, the TEDA Administrative Commission and Asymchem Laboratories (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking the official launch of Asymchem’s integrated R&D and production project for chemical macromolecule innovative drug CDMO in TEDA. With a total investment of 2 billion yuan, the project will be located in the Nucleic Acid Industrial Park in the West Zone of TEDA, focusing on oligonucleotides, peptides, and advanced pharmaceutical new materials. Once operational, the project will further enhance Asymchem’s one-stop CDMO service capabilities for new molecular modalities such as peptides and oligonucleotides (TIDES), while also helping to strengthen the regional biopharmaceutical industry chain.  

At present, TEDA’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industry ecosystem continues to improve, growing into a key growth driver for regional high-quality development and a hub for Tianjin’s biopharmaceutical industry. In 2025, the output value of TEDA’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industry reached 80.93 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, accounting for over 50% of the city’s total pharmaceutical output. To date, TEDA has successfully fostered a national-level biopharmaceutical industry cluster and a distinctive nucleic acid pharmaceutical industry hub, establishing an industrial system that covers the entire chain of R&D, production, and services, and creating a favorable development pattern characterized by “leading enterprise traction, cluster development, and full-chain synergy.”
