Otsuka Beverage Launches First Overseas Aseptic Production Line in TEDA

On May 19, Tianjin Otsuka Beverage Co., Ltd. officially launched its new aseptic production line in TEDA. As Otsuka Beverage's first overseas project of its kind, it represents a total investment of approximately RMB 380 million. The facility utilizes a complete set of core equipment imported from Germany and employs advanced dry-sterilization technology to build a comprehensive aseptic protection system covering the entire process from preform treatment to filling and capping, marking a significant leap in both production capacity and technology, and injecting robust momentum into TEDA’s health and pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, a new modern visitor gallery has been unveiled, set to become a premier destination for industrial tourism in TEDA.

Established in 2002, Tianjin Otsuka Beverage Co., Ltd. is the core production base for the Pocari Sweat brand, specializing in the R&D and manufacturing of these iconic beverages. Its foreign shareholder, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., maintains a diverse business portfolio covering nutritional health products, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods. Their classic product, Pocari Sweat, was first launched in 1980.
