International Partnership! TEDA-Made "HeartCon" Set for Major Upgrade

On May 26, ROCOR MEDICAL Technology Co., Ltd., TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital, and Israeli senior expert of medical technology Michael Zilbershlag officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in TEDA. The three parties will join forces to tackle the global challenge of Transcutaneous Energy Transfer (TET) for artificial hearts, a groundbreaking wireless charging technology.
As a leading domestic brand of artificial hearts, HeartCon stands as a prime example of "medical-engineering integration". Since 2009, TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital has maintained a deep partnership with the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, successfully adapting aerospace servo technology into life-saving medical products. In 2022, HeartConI was officially approved for the market, followed by HeartConII entering its clinical trial phase in April 2026. As the world’s first innovative product to eliminate active fully-magnetic bearings and position sensors, HeartConII is world’s lightest and smallest device of such kind, alongside exceptional anti-thrombotic performance and the potential for continuous miniaturization. It has become an outstanding representative of third-generation fully magnetically levitated ventricular assist systems worldwide.
However, traditional ventricular assist devices rely on percutaneous cables for power, which pose challenges such as patient inconvenience and a high risk of infection. Wireless power technology holds the key to industry-wide technical upgrades by optimizing both safety and the user experience. Mr. Michael Zilbershlag, a party to this agreement, is a pioneer in wireless power transfer technology and a multiple award winner at the International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support (ISMCS). "We will deeply integrate world-leading wireless power technology with the proven HeartCon system, leading the development of artificial hearts on a global scale, " said Zilbershlag.
A representative from TEDA stated that TEDA will support the project through industrial policies and ecosystem empowerment, driving the early clinical application of the wireless HeartCon and helping "TEDA Smart Manufacturing" reach the global stage.
