"TEDA-Made" Underwater Robots Win the Capek Prize

Recently, the winners of the Capek Prize—one of the most authoritative and influential awards in China's robotics industry—were officially announced. The "Otter" ROV, a cable-controlled underwater robot independently developed by TEDA-based Deepinfar Inc., won the "Technical Innovation Product of the Year" award.
The Capek Prize aims to recognize enterprises with strategic vision and innovative capabilities in the robotics sector, serving as a vital platform for promoting the standardization and commercial application of China's robotics industry. This award not only signifies industry recognition of Deepinfar's technological strength but also stands as a strong affirmation of the ability of the "Otter" to address industry pain points and deliver tangible application value.

For a long time, underwater operations in complex inland and coastal water environments have faced numerous challenges. The "Otter" ROV features breakthrough innovations in power control, compact design, and scenario adaptability, effectively reducing safety risks for personnel in water-based operations while significantly enhancing the efficiency and reliability of underwater search and inspection. Furthermore, its lightweight and modular design lowers the entry barrier for underwater robotics, enabling high-end underwater equipment to be utilized in routine project maintenance.
Deepinfar is a technology-driven high-tech company specializing in underwater space exploration. Its main products and solutions include ROVs, AUVs, AUGs, and Scooters, which are widely applied across sectors such as maritime security, offshore engineering, water conservancy, hydropower, emergency rescue, marine scientific research, and cultural tourism.
