TEDA-based CanSino Biologics Further Expands Global Footprint

Recently, CanSino Biologics Inc., an enterprise based in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), announced that its independently developed Group ACYW135 meningococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine Menhycia® has successfully obtained the registration certificate issued by the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Devices of Argentina (ANMAT). This marks another breakthrough in the company's global expansion of innovative vaccine products.

Menhycia® is the first quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine approved in China. It is indicated for the prevention of meningococcal meningitis caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W135. The vaccine offers several advantages, including a stronger immune response, longer-lasting protection, and reduced bacterial carriage. It has been approved in China for children aged 3 months to 6 years (up to 83 months). CanSino Biologics has completed the age-expansion clinical study of Menhycia® for individuals aged 7 to 59 years and has obtained the corresponding Clinical Study Report (CSR). The company is also advancing research on broader target populations and optimized vaccination schedules.
