World's First Batch of Kyinsu® Dispatched from TEDA across China
Recently, Kyinsu®—the world's first once-weekly combination of basal insulin and a GLP-1 receptor agonist (RA)—officially completed its first global shipment from the Novo Nordisk Tianjin plant, heading to markets across China.

As a leading global biopharmaceutical company, Novo Nordisk is committed to providing products and services to approximately 170 countries and regions. During its 32 years of growth in China, the Company has consistently invested in a full-chain industrial layout spanning R&D, production, and operations. The Tianjin plant, located in TEDA, is one of the company's global strategic production bases. Over the past three years, Novo Nordisk has invested more than RMB 6 billion in this facility. As a vital hub within Novo Nordisk's global supply network, the Tianjin plant provides a solid foundation for the seamless supply of Kyinsu®.
Notably, Kyinsu® received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in March 2026, making China the first country in the world to launch the product. As the first batch is dispatched across the country, Chinese patients will become the world's first to benefit from this innovation. From collaborative R&D at home and abroad to Chinese patients being the first to gain access, Kyinsu® has exemplified "China Speed" in every step.

Dr. Cai Yan, Senior Vice President of Novo Nordisk and President of Novo Nordisk Greater China, stated: "Every milestone for Kyinsu® is a vivid practice of our “China Co-Creation” Initiative. We will continue to leverage our cutting-edge R&D and full-chain industrial layout in China to ensure that more high-quality innovations benefit Chinese patients first".
