TEDA Enterprise Awarded First Prize at 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition

Recently, at the Grand Finale of the "Win in Suzhou, Win the Future" 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition, TEDA-based Yuantian Biotechnology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was awarded the first prize in the Growth Group for its industry-leading biological enzymatic regeneration technology.

The 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition is dedicated to establishing itself as a premier global platform for high-level talent, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Spanning over four months, the Competition featured six specialized tracks, namely Electronic Information, High-end Equipment, Biomedicine and Healthcare, Advanced Materials, New Energy, and Artificial Intelligence. It encompassed 23 qualifying rounds and attracted 3,573 competition projects from 31 countries and regions worldwide.

Founded in TEDA in 2022, Yuantian Biotechnology is China's first company to commercialize biological regeneration technology and the world's first national small and medium-sized technology-based enterprise to achieve GRS certification for biological recycling. The Company specializes in the R&D and industrial application of biological enzymatic regeneration for waste PET plastics, having developed highly efficient PET-degrading enzymes that can decompose PET waste into monomers at ambient temperature and pressure for subsequent polymerization into rbPET, thereby enabling the infinite recycling of waste plastics.
