Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region Unveils Initiative to Build Space Computing Power Industrial Corridor

On September 12, at the 2026 China Computational Power Conference, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), Hebei Xiong’an New Area, and Langfang City jointly launched an initiative to co-build the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Space Computing Power Industrial Corridor. This represents a significant move by the four regions to proactively integrate into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, enhance forward-looking research on space computing power technologies, and propel the development of the space computing industry.

According to the initiative, the corridor aims to build a space-ground integrated cross-domain computing network, collaboratively carrying out technological breakthroughs, scenario explorations, and cluster cultivation to forge an open and cooperative space computing power industrial ecosystem. Among them, the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), focusing on "Tianhe as Foundation for Super-Smart Fusion", relies on the Tianhe series of the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin to promote the intelligent integration of supercomputing and space computing power. To advance the development of the corridor, the four regions put forward six proposals focusing on strategic synergy, R&D and innovation, demonstration applications, policy synchronization, cluster effects, and open cooperation.

As the initiative is put into practice, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will form a complete industrial chain across links such as space computing power technology R&D, industrial manufacturing, scenario applications, and computing hubs, providing a replicable collaborative development paradigm for China's space computing industry.
