Malaysia’s IOI Corporation Berhad Invests RMB 200 Million in a High-end Feed Additive Production Base in TEDA

At the project collective signing ceremony of the 2026 Multinational Enterprises Visit to Tianjin on October 23,Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) signed a major investment project.

The high-end feed additive production base, jointly built by IOI Corporation Berhad and Tianjin Palmco Oil Fats Co., Ltd., will land in TEDA with a total investment of RMB 200 million. Founded in Malaysia in 1969, IOI Corporation Berhad is a key player in the global full palm oil value chain and one of Asia’s leading manufacturers of vegetable oil-based oleochemicals. Tianjin Palmco Oil Fats Co., Ltd. was established in TEDA back in September 1994.

This cooperation will leverage IOI Corporation Berhad’s global palm oil resources to focus on high value-added animal nutrition products such as fatty acids, driving the upgrade from basic oil and fat processing to the refined animal nutrition sector. Upon reaching full production capacity in 2030, the project is expected to generate an additional output value of RMB 200 million. The launch of this project will bolster and complement the regional industrial chain, further enrich the layout of the animal health industry, and serve as a key link for the extended development of the healthcare industry in TEDA.

Including this high-end feed additive production base, TEDA signed four foreign-invested projects at the event, with a combined investment of approximately $1 billion. The projects cover main sectors including healthcare, high-end equipments and new chemical materials. The continuous landing of a number of leading foreign-invested projects in the industrial chain fully demonstrates foreign investors’ long-term confidence in TEDA’s industrial ecosystem. As more foreign-invested projects featuring capital increase of existing businesses and R&D functions keep joining in, TEDA’s open industrial ecosystem will continue to improve, empowering the development of New Quality Productive Forces with foreign investment.
