Recently, the 2026 World Intelligence Expo successfully concluded in Tianjin. This year's expo gathered over 700 enterprises globally, integrating exhibitions, competitions, matchmaking, and interactive experiences to create a high-end international platform for exchange and cooperation in the intelligent industry. As the core hub for Tianjin's advanced R&D and manufacturing base, TEDA delivered an outstanding performance: Unitree Robotics and other high-tech companies signed agreements for new projects, numerous local enterprises made impressive appearances, and various concurrent events yielded fruitful results, collectively showcasing the robust vitality and solid foundation of the region's intelligent technology.
Signing of High-Quality Projects Bolsters Industrial Foundations
The successful landing of high-quality and high-tech projects serves as a vital benchmark for gauging a region's industrial appeal and business environment. At this year's World Intelligence Expo, TEDA delivered an impressive performance report.
On the eve of the Expo, Unitree Robotics, a leading domestic player in the embodied AI sector, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with TEDA. The Company will promote innovative applications of embodied AI in the development zone, aiming to accelerate the creation of an innovation hub for the industry within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This partnership marks a key step in Unitree's expansion into Northern China, with a focus on critical scenarios such as security inspection, fire rescue, education and training, and industrial operations. "Tianjin boasts strong advantages in talent, industry, and port resources, alongside a highly developed intelligent manufacturing sector and a robust robotics supply chain, providing a wealth of scenarios for the development and application of embodied AI robots," said Chen Li, co-founder of Unitree Robotics, expressing full confidence in the collaboration.
On the same day, 85 key projects were officially signed to land in Tianjin. Among them, six core projects landed in TEDA, including the Digital Logistics Headquarters of SF Group, the Corun New Energy Full-Chain Project, the Schaeffler New Energy Vehicle Electrification Product Investment Project, and the Oranger Digital DTX (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. AI+ Intelligent Agent R&D and Production Base. These projects span critical fields such as modern logistics, solid-state battery energy storage, automotive electrification, computing power, and digital healthcare. Their arrival not only serves as powerful testimony to TEDA's strong appeal within the intelligent industry, but also represents practical achievements in strengthening and supplementing the regional industrial chain, injecting robust momentum into the modern industrial system.

"TEDA Smart Manufacturing" Debuts with Impressive Strength in Advanced Manufacturing
The World Intelligence Expo featured an exhibition area of 130,000 square meters, attracting over 740 major domestic and international enterprises in the field of intelligent technology. TEDA-based companies made a strong showing, offering a comprehensive demonstration of the "hard-core" capabilities of TEDA Smart Manufacturing.
At the Expo, Unitree Robotics, having recently signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with TEDA, emerged as a central attraction. Its exhibit included high-end quadruped robot series and its first general-purpose humanoid robot, spanning application scenarios from industrial inspection and emergency rescue to livelihood services and scientific research. In the field of heavy-duty and specialized operations, Lonyu Robot presented the "Yu Qilin" unmanned heavy-duty transport vehicle, designed specifically for short-distance outdoor workshop transfers within large parks and industrial sites, making it a premier choice for autonomous logistics in heavy industry. Wybotics showcased its industry-leading status with the WYBOT S3, a high-end AI pool-cleaning robot featuring the world's first cable-free and intelligent solution. Deepinfar displayed the highly maneuverable JT series IV-C Pro and the "Haiyi" underwater glider, capable of three months of continuous underwater operation, further highlighting China's technological strength in underwater robotics. Additionally, Atomrobot "Tianbing-1" humanoid robot captivated the audience with its remarkable 200-kilogram waist-load capacity.

In recent years, TEDA has focused on industrial, specialized, and service robotics, cultivating a group of sector leaders with national and global competitiveness. Among them, Atomrobot has maintained the top domestic market share in high-speed parallel robotics for several consecutive years; Deepinfar is a benchmark enterprise in China's underwater robotics industry; Lonyu Robot remains in the top tier of the global heavy-duty intelligent logistics market; and Wybotics holds a significant share of the global pool-cleaning robot market. These companies' products have shown outstanding performance internationally, attracting numerous foreign buyers at the expo for inquiries, photography, and negotiations.
In addition to robotics, automotive leaders such as FAW Toyota, FAW-Volkswagen, Great Wall Motor, and Farizon Auto (Geely) gathered to fully showcase TEDA's innovative breakthroughs in the intelligent, electric, and green sectors. Other highlights included the super scientific computing intelligent agent presented by the National SuperComputing Network, hydrogen-powered heavy trucks from Rockcheck Group, and the cutting-edge AI-enabled digital health achievements from companies like Asymchem and Bloomage Biotech. Together, these exhibits painted a vivid picture of TEDA's flourishing intelligent technology sector, reflecting the region's rich application scenarios and comprehensive manufacturing system.
Sideline Events: High-Level and Pragmatic, Spurring New Momentum for Cross-Sector Integration
Beyond exhibitions and project signings, TEDA hosted three sideline events, establishing a premier platform for technological exchange and supply-demand matchmaking.
At the industry exchange event themed "Smart Chains · Embodied Horizons", Tianjin's first Automotive Manufacturing Embodied AI Joint Laboratory was officially unveiled in TEDA. Jointly established by the School of Artificial Intelligence at Tianjin University, FAW Tooling Die (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., and the Planning Department and Tianjin Branch of FAW-Volkswagen, the Lab will address challenges in the intelligent transformation of the automotive sector, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical application scenarios in vehicle manufacturing.
The Conference on AI for Science (AI4S) Empowered by the Integration of Quantum, Supercomputing, and Intelligence featured the release of several significant independent innovation achievements. The next-generation computing prototype system with tight coupling of quantum, supercomputing, and intelligence, Tianhe High-Speed Interconnect products, the Tianhe "Wenqu Xingyuan" Scientific Intelligence Training Site, and the "AI + Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Science-Industry Fusion Innovation Consortium" all made their debuts. These initiatives will provide powerful computing support for industrial empowerment and research into major scientific challenges.
