AIIB’s Data and Comprehensive Business Base Starts Delivery, Acceptance

On August 1, relevant officers of Facilities and Administrative Service Bureau of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Jones Lang LaSalle, Tianjin Municipal Finance Bureau, Binhai New Area Finance Bureau, TEDA Finance Bureau, Innovative Finance Investment Co., Ltd. and so on went to AIIB Tianjin Data and Comprehensive Business Base to check the project facilities and formally start the customer acceptance and commissioning procedures. This indicates that, after 2 years of site selection, approval and design and 4 months of construction, AIIB’s first off-headquarters functional center  in the world has been presented on schedule.

During the construction of the base, in response to the ongoing international epidemic and the changes in the domestic epidemic, and under the guidance of AIIB and Jones Lang LaSalle, TEDA Finance Bureau worked with Innovative Finance Investment Co., Ltd. to overcome the difficulties and actively adopted real-time online interaction, on-site multi-party meeting and other manners to communicate with AIIB on issues such as plan deepening, material confirmation, project adjustments, and brand supply. In order to abide by promises and ensure on-time delivery of the project, the construction site operated at full power on a 7*24 hours basis, and up to 200 people worked at the same time to guarantee construction quality and schedule.

At present, the construction is basically completed. Yin Lihai, a senior officer of the AIIB’s Facilities and Administrative Services Bureau, announced that AIIB’s internal facilities and equipment commissioning and spatial layout optimization will proceed orderly. On behalf of AIIB, Yin Lihai expressed high affirmation and sincere thanks to TEDA for its supports provided for the construction of AIIB Tianjin base.

In the next step, after one month of acceptance and commissioning, the Tianjin base will hold an official delivery ceremony in mid-to-late September. It is expected to be formally put into use in mid-October to realize the linked offices in Beijing and Tianjin, to provide the multinational employees of AIIB with a better office environment, and to lay a more solid foundation for the business expansion and long-term development.
