China’s First LNG Terminal with Double Berths Put into Use in Nangang
On December 29th, a transport ship loaded with 69,000 tons of LNG successfully berthed at No.2 berth of Sinopec Tianjin LNG receiving station, which marked the official operation of China’s first two-berth LNG terminal. So far, the annual LNG loading and unloading capacity of the receiving station has been increased from 6 million tons to 10.8 million tons, which further enhances the natural gas supply capacity and will effectively ensure people’s home are warm for the winter in North China.
Located in Nangang Industrial Zone, Sinopec Tianjin LNG receiving station is an important part of natural gas peak shaving and supply guarantee in North China. The “Berth No.2” in use is an important part of phase-2 of the receiving station, with a loading capacity of 266,000 cubic meters, which can greatly increase the monthly ship receiving frequency of the station.
