Tianjin Tops S&T Innovation Environment Index in China for 5 Years

Recently, China Regional S&T Innovation Evaluation Report 2021 edited by China Academy of Science and Technology for Development was issued. Tianjin’s comprehensive S&T innovation level index was 80.88%, ranking the fourth and topping the national comprehensive S&T innovation level in China. Tianjin’s S&T innovation environment index was 92.91%, taking the top spot for 5 consecutive years; S&T activity output index was 94.33%, being the largest increase among the first-level indicators; high-tech industrialization index ranked fifth nationwide.

The report evaluated the S&T innovation level of all 31 provincial-level regions in the Chinese mainland. The evaluation system consists of 5 first-level indicators including S&T innovation environment, S&T activity input, S&T activity output, high-tech industrialization and S&T promoting economic growth.
