2023 “Creating China” TEDA Station Officially Launches

On March 7, the Carbon Peaking & Neutrality Innovation Development Forum was held in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA for short), which marked the official launch of 2023 “Create China” TEDA Station. With the theme of “Innovation Leads Green Development”, more than 100 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs shared their views on new green and low-carbon technologies, agriculture and forestry carbon sink development, certification and transactions, etc. During the event, “CNS Carbon Sink”, a Carbon Peaking & Neutrality platform with public welfare concept, was officially released and the first batch of transactions were completed. The platform is launched and operated by Sinosteel Kede Incubator (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and Tencent Intelligent Agriculture. It is committed to building a comprehensive service platform for the Carbon Peaking & Neutrality industry, with the declaration and trading of CNS small and micro carbon sink projects as major aspects, along with consultation and trading of carbon index products, incubation and transformation of low-carbon technologies, and carbon neutralization of enterprises as a whole.

Initiated by the National Development and Reform Commission and the China Association for Science and Technology, the event of Creating China is a brand activity to implement China’s innovation-driven development strategy and promote the deep practice of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Since it was one of the earliest demo zones for Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation as approved by the State Council in May 2016, TEDA now has 22 incubation carriers above the municipal level, and the number of national high-tech enterprises and technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises has exceeded 1,000, with a technology contract transaction volume of nearly 16 billion yuan.
