TEDA and Novozymes Join Forces to Promote Green Development
On March 27th, TEDA Administrative Commission and Novozymes signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Strategic Cooperation for Green Development at the corporate headquarters in Denmark. Both parties will integrate their respective strengths and work together to promote the accessibility of green energy in TEDA, while developing a circular economy and promoting green energy-saving projects with exemplary effects, jointly dedicating themselves to green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. According to the MOU, TEDA will fully coordinate relevant resources and provide strong support to Novozymes' green development in terms of policies and finance. Novozymes will leverage its extensive operation & management expertise to further expand the utilization of green energy at its Tianjin plant, while encouraging proactive pursuit of eco-friendly projects.
Novozymes is a global leader in the field of biological solutions and is one of the largest suppliers of enzyme and microbiological technology in the world. The company invested in the construction of its Tianjin plant in TEDA in 1994. This plant holds immense strategic significance for Novozymes as it serves as a multi-purpose enzyme production plant and a R&D center. It provides enzyme products to clients all over the world and undertakes various operational and administrative functions for Novozymes in China, including application R&D, pilot scale experiment, production, supply chain logistics, Asia-Pacific finance center, etc.
