Exciting Activities Await in TEDA as Dragon Boat Festival is Coming

As the traditional Chinese festival Dragon Boat Festival approaches, a variety of colorful cultural, commercial, and tourism activities will take turns in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), bringing visual feasts for residents and tourists.

The Beer Festival and Starlight Night by the Haihe River, part of the Summer Leisure Festival in Binhai New Area, will kick off simultaneously on June 21st, featuring cultural performances, beer sales, creative merchandise, and delicious food, greatly enriching the city’s nighttime economy.

On June 23rd, the 2023 Binhai New Area Dragon Boat Race will be held at the Yujiapu Riverside Park in TEDA, where 32 dragon boat teams will compete in the waters of the Haihe River, carrying forward the tradition and culture of the Dragon Boat Festival. During the event, there will also be water sports performances such as water dragon shows, sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking.

The Binhai Cultural Center will offer a variety of cultural feasts as well, including the first Tianjin Animation Expo and Lounge Bridge Cultural Market, art exhibitions and touring activities at the Binhai Art Museum, and a Dragon Boat Festival science popularization event at the Binhai Science and Technology Museum.
