Beijing Gas Tianjin Nangang LNG Terminal Officially Opens
Recently, Beijing Gas (Tianjin) LNG Co., Ltd. officially opened its LNG berth to the public. As an important part of the Beijing Gas Tianjin Nangang LNG Emergency Reserve Project, the LNG berth has a total length of 425 meters, a designed annual unloading capacity of 5 million tons, and can accommodate LNG vessels of up to 266,000 cubic meters. With this, the Dagang port where this project is located has become the first port in China to have three LNG berths operating simultaneously. This will further enhance the LNG supply capacity in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and support the development of green chemical industry and oil and gas trading center businesses in the Nangang Industrial Zone.
The total investment in the Beijing Gas Tianjin Nangang LNG Emergency Reserve Project is 20 billion yuan. It includes the construction of 10 LNG storage tanks, one LNG ship berth, and a 215-kilometer-long outbound pipeline. Ultimately, the project will achieve a gas emergency storage capacity of 1.2 billion cubic meters.
