COSL Intelligent Factory Launched in TEDA

China’s first self-developed intelligent factory for offshore oil and gas completion tools was launched in TEDA. This marks a significant step towards fully intelligent manufacturing of China’s high-end offshore completion tools industry. It is also of great importance in improving the production efficiency of complex oil and gas fields, shortening the construction time, and extending the exploitation lifespan.

The newly built intelligent factory, located in TEDA East, will be used for the intelligent production of China National Offshore Oil Corporation’s (CNOOC) high-end completion system, namely the “Haihong” completion tools. Zhao Shunqiang, Chairman and CEO of China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL), stated that the “Haihong” intelligent factory has established a full industry chain for completion tools including “technical research and development, tool manufacturing, experimental testing, and field services”, propelling China’s well completion business into the world’s top tier.
