TEDA Enterprise Asymchem Inaugurates First European R&D and Manufacturing Base
TEDA enterprise Asymchem Pharmaceutical Group held an inauguration ceremony for its Sandwich R&D and Manufacturing Base in the UK. This marks the official commencement of operations for Asymchem’s first European R&D and manufacturing base. As a key element of the global strategic layout, this base will further support and improve the global supply chain system for Asymchem.
In the first half of this year, Asymchem took over the former Pfizer UK’s Sandwich Site, including its small-molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) pilot plant and R&D laboratory. Leveraging world-class R&D and manufacturing equipment, talent teams, and comprehensive drug development technology, the company has comprehensively upgraded the Sandwich Site.
The base has now combined Asymchem’s quality system and operations management system to achieve optimal matching of basic capabilities. It provides comprehensive CDMO services for small molecule drugs.
In the future, Asymchem will expand into emerging fields such as peptides and nucleic acids, and introduce advanced green manufacturing technologies such as continuous reaction and synthetic biology (SynBio), to achieve efficient empowerment of drug R&D and manufacturing in more fields.
