Sinopec’s Tianjin New Materials Production Base Begins Production

The Tianjin New Materials Production Base (Phase I) project of Sinopec’s Catalyst Company was put into production in TEDA Nangang Industrial Zone. With a total investment exceeding 5 billion yuan, the first phase focuses on the construction of silver catalyst and polyolefin catalyst production units as well as auxiliary facilities.

The base is home to China’s first intelligent production line of its kind, which has achieved the transition from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing to create a global leading catalyst & new materials production base. The second and third phases of the project are under construction.
