NEV Reducer Rolled Out by Tianjin Aisin in TEDA

M190, the new NEV reducer product of Tianjin Aisin Automatic Transmission Co., Ltd., rolled off the production line, for which a launch ceremony was held in TEDA. Its production line for NEV reducers began planning at the end of 2023 and started construction in April 2024. This marks the first time Aisin Group has conducted trial production in China during design and R&D stage. With a total investment of RMB 50 million, the project is expected to achieve a production capacity of 23,000 units per month upon full completion. The M190 is a type of reducer product designed for a new model under the FAW Hongqi brand. It will be integrated into Aisin Group’s NEV drive product, e-Axle. Featuring a small but powerful design, its compact size is less than half that of traditional drive systems with equivalent power output.

Tianjin Aisin Automatic Transmission Co., Ltd. settled down in TEDA in 2004 with a registered capital of USD 103.05 million. It is a joint venture established by Aisin Corporation, a Fortune Global 500 company, and FAW Equity Investment (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. The company specializes in the production of 6-speed automatic transmissions, 8-speed automatic transmissions, NEV reducers, and related components, supplying products to automakers such as FAW Hongqi, FAW-Volkswagen, and SAIC Volkswagen.
