Multiple UAV Test Flight Areas Approved in TEDA

Recently, several industrial parks in TEDA have been approved for UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) test flight areas, providing strong support for the research and testing of local UAV companies and further optimizing the local UAV industrial ecosystem. Such facilitation is expected to attract more high-quality enterprises to TEDA and promote industrial clustering.

The newly approved UAV test flight areas include Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Unmanned Intelligent Industry-Education Integration Base at Yat-sen Intelligence & Innovation Park, Intelligent Unmanned Equipment Industrial Park, and Beitangwan Digital Economy Industrial Park in TEDA. These areas, with a maximum flight altitude of 120 meters, can meet the demand of various UAV application scenarios such as research and testing, flight training, and logistics distribution. Within these areas, supporting infrastructure such as UAV take-off and landing points, communication and navigation facilities, and meteorological monitoring stations will be established to ensure safe flight of UAVs.

TEDA has been actively exploring opportunities in the low-altitude economy and strategically fostering the UAV industrial chain. Currently, the region has attracted nearly 30 UAV-related enterprises, covering various fields such as R&D, design, manufacturing, and operational services.
