Fruitful Achievements in Tianjin-Melbourne 45th Anniversary Economic and Trade Exchange Forum
On May 12 local time, the Economic and Trade Exchange Forum for the 45th Anniversary of Tianjin-Melbourne Sister City Partnership (TEDA Special Session) was held at the Melbourne Town Hall, Australia. Over 100 Chinese and Australian business leaders and representatives from business associations gathered to share opportunities, discuss cooperation, and plan for future development. A series of cooperation agreements were also signed, which marks a new chapter in the development of bilateral cooperation.
At the conference, TEDA made a regional presentation. Signing of a series of cooperation agreements is the highlight of the event, which covers project implementation, channel expansion, and industrial alignment. TEDA signed an agreement with Australian company Pyrosales Pty Ltd., introducing the company's first industrial sensor R&D and manufacturing base in China. Boman Group Limited signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Industry and Finance Development Promotion Bureau of TEDA and Tianjin RockCheck Tewoo Corporation, centering on in-depth cooperation in investment and financing alignment, mergers and acquisitions, and bank-enterprise collaboration, thus to improve the service for Chinese enterprises going global and overseas capital into China.
Boman Group has already established its China headquarters in TEDA in 2024, and this contract is another significant milestone for its deepen business in TEDA and regional cooperation. Wei Ruihao, Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Boman Group, shared his successful practices of investing in TEDA and expressed the hope of leveraging the Australia Offshore Enterprise Service Platform at the Cross-border Investment and Financing Comprehensive Service Center of Tianjin (Pilot) Free Trade Zone to provide support for the two-way investment and development of Chinese and Australian enterprises.
Tom Parker, the National CEO of the Australia China Business Council, stated that Tianjin and Australia shared huge potential in the cooperation of clean energy, technological innovation, modern agriculture, and service trade. Both sides will establish a closer partnership to jointly address global challenges and achieve mutually beneficial cooperation.
