TEDA Enterprise Selected for the List of China’s First Batch of Iconic Biomanufacturing Products

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the list of the first batch of 36 iconic biomanufacturing products.Tianjin Asymchem Biotechnology Co., Ltd.，located in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), was selected for its independently developed product of microorganism-synthesized salidroside, making itself one of the only two companies in Tianjin to make the list.

The list of iconic biomanufacturing products, organized and selected by MIIT, focuses on biomanufacturing technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights, leading technologies, and significant economic and social benefits. Asymchem’s inclusion in the list marks a new milestone for TEDA in the field of biomanufacturing.

Next, TEDA will continue to strengthen the cultivation of regional iconic biomanufacturing products, further guide and enhance technological innovation at the source of the industry, promote breakthroughs in original and disruptive technologies, and advance the application of iconic products. The area will accelerate the transformation of lab-to-market activities, build up the capacity to make integrated growth from technology R&D, manufacturing to market expansion and public platform support. TEDA will also support the construction of pilot-scale experiment platforms of biomanufacturing, build an innovation ecosystem, and drive the innovation-driven industrial growth.
