Major Biomedical Conference Held in TEDA

Recently, the “Unity and Renewal” —¬¬ 2024 TEDA Biopharmaceutical Industry-Education Consortium Exchange Symposium was held in TEDA, highlighted by the group signing ceremony of high-quality projects such as the Tianjin Municipal Higher Education Undergraduate Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Research Program, the cooperation project between the Bioengineering School of Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Tianjin Lainuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd., etc. Together, these projects are expected to empower the biopharmaceutical industry in TEDA and even in Tianjin.

To effectively integrate advantageous resources for biopharmaceutical industry from government, universities and enterprises, TEDA Biopharmaceutical Industry-Education Consortium will jointly build a training center for medical skills and elderly care skills with multiple relevant agencies. This is the first training center of its kind in China. In addition, the Domestic Scientific Instrument Application and Teaching Evaluation Center was officially established to provide professional and convenient evaluation services for biopharmaceutical enterprises in Tianjin.

TEDA Biopharmaceutical Industry-Education Consortium is one of the earliest national-level industry-education consortia recognized by the Ministry of Education and the only one in China specializing in the biopharmaceutical field. By the end of 2023, the first phase of the Consortium had brought together 11 universities, vocational colleges and institutions with majors in biopharmaceutical science (including Nankai University and Tianjin Medical University), gathered 320 research projects, and realized a research commercialization rate through university-enterprise collaboration of 56.67%.
