Tianhe SuperComputing Power Ecology Conference Held in TEDA

On April 23, the Tianhe SuperComputing Power Ecology Conference was held in TEDA. This conference focuses on the role of computing power in driving new quality productive forces and aims to empower the coordinated high-quality development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region with the National SuperComputer Center in Tianjin as a carrier.

During the conference, a series of platforms and activities were officially launched and announced. Among them, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Tianhe Computing Power Network Platform will be established. This platform will build a fusion computing power network with exascale supercomputing capacity, intelligent computing capacity, and data management capacity. Initiatives such as the Tianjin Smart Computing and Generative General Intelligence Innovation Conglomerate and the Materials Genome Service Platform were inaugurated. Events such as the Tianhe Central SOE Collaborative Innovation Partnership Program and the Tianhe Cup 2024 Supercomputing Outstanding Engineer Challenge were officially launched. Additionally, a batch of major commercialized achievements based on the innovation of the Tianhe Supercomputer were announced during the conference.

Located in TEDA, the National SuperComputer Center in Tianjin is the country’s first national-level supercomputing center, and it is equipped with the Tianhe-1 supercomputer and the Tianhe-3 prototype system. The center serves nearly 6,000 users from research institutions, enterprises, and governments, with applications spanning various fields including biomedicine, genetic technology, aerospace, weather forecast and climatic prediction, marine environmental simulation analysis, aviation remote sensing data processing, new energy and new materials, brain science, and astronomy.
