A National Environmental Science Popularization Base in TEDA

Recently, Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Ministry of Science and Technology have published the seventh batch of national environmental science popularization base. TEDA Eco Center is on the list.

As an important part of national featured science popularization bases, the national environmental science base is a platform to show the technological achievements of ecological environmental protection and practice of ecological civilization. The bases approved have great features and advantages in the science popularization facilities, activities, team building and fund input, representing the high quality of the science base currently.

TEDA Eco Center is China’s first service platform dedicated to promoting regional green development and international technical cooperation. The major task of the center is to promote green information exchange, promote commercial matching in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, and expand international cooperation in green industries to promote the sustainable development of enterprises and parks. Since 2010, the center has successfully implemented the EU Industrial Symbiosis Project and international cooperation projects with the United States and Japan; it also has made a lot of successful attempts in organizing international clean technology, collecting technology, energy saving and emission reduction; it can receive 20,000 visitors every year.
