The Largest General Berth in Nangang Industrial Zone Completes the First Ship Operation

SUPER KATE left No.7-8 general berth of Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone Ports Co., Ltd. with full cargo for Australia, which marks the completion of the first foreign trade operation for the largest general berth in Nangang Industrial Zone.

With a length of 320 meters, the berth allows a 70,000-ton ship. The main ship types in international trade can be berthed here. The upgrading of berth provides convenience for the import and export of heavy equipment of enterprises in the park, and helps promote the development of regional import and export trade.

So far, 15 berths have been built in Nangang Industrial Zone, and 6 berths are open to the world, which can carry out foreign trade vessel operations in the fields of bulk cargo and liquid chemicals. The port’s general berths have opened Zhonggu Shipping domestic lines with Tianjin Port in Bohai Sea, providing round-trip service for containers (non-hazardous chemicals). It is expected that three more terminals will be opened this year.
