TEDA-made China’s Largest Onshore Wind Power Equipment Exported for the First Time

Recently, Vestas Wind Technology (China) Co., Ltd. from TEDA exported 6MW EnVentus™ wind turbine platform to Colombia. The device is one of models with the maximum single-machine capacity in China’s onshore wind power market. The first export marks Vestas’ expansion of manufacturing in China. In June this year, Vestas’ generator world plant was put into operation in TEDA, and 6MW EnVentus™, China’s onshore new equipment with the maximum single-machine capacity rolled off the production line.

Vestas Tianjin production base was built in 2005 and officially put into production in 2009. It So far, the accumulated investment of Vestas Tianjin production base exceeds 2.1 billion yuan, which is Vestas’ largest integrated production base of wind power equipment and the unique such production base worldwide. The generators produced here account for 75% of Vestas’ global generator supply.
