Tianjin Hosts 2026 Global Business Leaders Roundtable

The Tianjin 2026 Global Business Leaders Roundtable opened on March 25, bringing together nearly 300 representatives from over 30 countries and regions.
Centered on the theme of Deep Integration of Technology and Industrial Innovation: Drivers, Mechanisms, and Pathways, the event highlights Tianjin's growing role as a hub for global dialogue on innovation and development.

Participants are engaging in discussions on a wide range of topics, including global value chains, innovation-driven growth, artificial intelligence, green computing, port-industry-city integration, and the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.

The roundtable features four key themes: AI-driven industrial transformation, regional development and urban innovation, creating synergies in technological innovation, human well-being, and sustainable development.
In addition to the plenary session, the agenda includes multinational enterprise forums and eight parallel sessions.
Organizers noted that the topics align with China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and reflect the latest industry trends, such as AI-driven consumption. The event aims to serve as a platform for exchange among government, business, and academic leaders, aiming to inject new momentum into both China's and the global economy.

Wang Xin from the Northern China Regional Coordination Center of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office emphasized his strong interest in AI and green industries, expressing hope for deeper cooperation and broader investment between Chinese and international companies.
In addition, a dedicated technology exhibition area showcases cutting-edge innovations, including a brain-computer interface chip, advanced tactile sensors, AI-powered diagnostic tools, and micro computing systems.
