Amazon Executive Sees Strong Potential in Tianjin's Ports

Liu Tao, a representative of Amazon (China) Investment, expressed strong confidence in Tianjin's ports ahead of the Tianjin 2026 Global Business Leaders Roundtable. 

Speaking at the event's registration on March 24, Liu said he looked forward to gaining deeper insights into the city's recent development, particularly improvements in its business environment.

As a participant traveling from the Yangtze River Delta, Liu highlighted the growing interaction between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta. Today's industries, he said, are increasingly spread across multiple locations, creating more opportunities for cross-regional collaboration.

Liu revealed that Amazon has sent a high-level delegation to the roundtable to explore new partnerships and exchange ideas on business expansion.

As a key port city in northern China, Tianjin offers unique logistical advantages. Liu praised both its seaport and airport for their strong appeal to global businesses.

Amazon has already established solid relationship with local authorities, including the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce. Liu expressed hope that the roundtable would help broaden partnerships and foster more business collaborations.
