Tianjin Biomedical Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance Established in TEDA

On December 26th, the inaugural meeting of Tianjin Biomedical Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance was held in Binhai New Area. There are 200 members in the first batch, and 51 enterprises joined the alliance.

The alliance aims to promote the high-quality development of biomedical industry in Tianjin, achieve win-win cooperation among universities, institutes, enterprises and governments, and promote the integration of talent chain, industrial chain, project chain, technology chain and capital chain. At the meeting,TEDA signed cooperation agreements with four enterprises respectively.

With China’s largest production base for insulin and enzymes, TEDA is the core area of the biomedical industry in Tianjin and even the Bohai area. So far, there are 400 medical and service enterprises including Novo Nordisk, Casymchem Novozymes, Tianjin Hanaco Medical Co., Ltd. and CanSino Biologics. The prototype of the industrial chain including biopharmaceuticals, chemical medicines, traditional Chinese medicines, natural medicines, medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing, biotechnology and other health products has been initially formed. Based on biomedical industry, TEDA will optimize and upgrade the industry energy and product structure of the pharmaceuticals and big health industry with the alliance.
