Catalyst Industry Chain Takes Root in TEDA: Sinopec International Catalyst Customer Conference Held in TEDA

The 2^nd Sinopec International Catalyst Customer Conference, themed Unite for Catalysis, Forge Ahead with Innovation, recently kicked off in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA).

Spotlighting cutting-edge advances in catalyst, the conference showcased Sinopec’s latest achievements in catalyst technology innovation, product development and industrial application, promoting further integration of catalytic research and industrial practice. More than 260 attendees joined the event, including representatives from over 60 refinery enterprises across 20 countries, CAS academicians, researchers from scientific institutions, and Sinopec delegates.

During the conference, over 60 overseas guests and industry chain partners visited the Nangang Industrial Zone. At the Nangang Science and Innovation Center, they learned about the strategic location, industrial progress, master planning and smart safety management of Nangang via sand table displays and industrial data. They also toured the new materials production base of Sinopec Catalyst (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., getting a first-hand look at the intelligent manufacturing capabilities of TEDA’s catalyst industrial chain.

The conference highlights TEDA’s robust petrochemical industry foundation, abundant resource advantages and world-class international business environment, while demonstrating TEDA’s progress in advanced new chemical materials. It also helps boost TEDA’s profile in global opening-up.

Moving forward, TEDA will keep refining its industrial ecosystem and supporting services. It will foster deeper technical exchanges and project cooperation in catalysts, elevate its image of high-standard opening-up, and attract more innovative resources and high-quality projects to Nangang Industrial Zone.
