Otis North China R&D Center Settles in TEDA

TEDA Administrative Commission signed an investment cooperation agreement on the Otis North China R&D Center with Otis (China) Investment Co., Ltd. With a planned investment of nearly 50 million RMB, the Otis North China R&D Center will focus on R&D projects in commercialization of new material technology for general platform elevators and the technical development of high-capacity, high-speed traction machines. It will also leverage its production base in TEDA for technology commercialization, further boosting the output and contributing to the optimization and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in TEDA and even in Tianjin.

Four High-Quality Projects Settle in TEDA

In the signing ceremony of key projects in the mineral resources sector in the Binhai New Area, four high-quality projects settled in TEDA with a total investment of approximately 765 million RMB. They are the new energy sector HQ relocation project of Hebei Hengwang Investment Group, the New Waterproof Material Production Line and Waterproof System Components Project of Tianjin Xin’ao Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., the Petroleum Pipeline Inspection and Equipment Production Base Project of Zhonghai Huarui Intelligent Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. as well as China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation Tianjin Branch. These projects cover areas such as new energy, new materials, and petrochemicals.

TEDA Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Cinda Asset Management Tianjin Branch

TEDA Administrative Commission and China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. Tianjin Branch held a ceremony to sign a strategic cooperation agreement. Cinda Asset Management Tianjin Branch will engage in broader business cooperation with enterprises in the area, especially state-owned enterprises within TEDA. The Tianjin Branch will also actively explore joint initiatives with TEDA, such as establishing funds, revitalizing existing assets, handling debt assets, and optimizing debt structures in cooperation.

Kenboli Precision Tool Production Base Commences Construction in TEDA

Kenboli Precision Tool Production Base project officially started construction in the TEDA Industrial Park. This project has a total investment of 90 million yuan. It will include functional areas like automated cloth workshops, saw blade and drill bit production workshops, grinding wheel production workshops, sintering workshops, and warehouses. The primary focus of this production base is to research and produce precision instruments and cutting tools such as grinding wheels and saw blades, which can be used in fields like photovoltaics and semiconductors.

TEDA Sees Coatings Packing Production Project Commencing Operation

Tianjin Weitian Coatings Packing Container Co., Ltd. officially started production of coatings packaging containers in the Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA. This project has a total investment of approximately 260 million yuan and includes the construction of six fully automated coatings packing container production lines. These facilities have the capacity to produce 22 million sets of coatings packing containers annually. This project is expected to further expand the coating industry chain in TEDA

Fengcheng Meditech’s New R&D Center Commences Operation

A new research and development center of Fengcheng Meditech (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. officially commenced operations in Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park in TEDA. The new center has established a series of specialized laboratories and analytical testing facilities with internationally advanced devices. The center will provide Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services for clients, synthesis technology upgrades for catalog compound products, and the development and application of green chemistry technology.

Alibaba’s Intelligent Information Business Group Settles in TEDA

Tianjin Huicheng Information Technology Co., Ltd. officially began its operations in the Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park in TEDA. This company is a wholly-owned subsidiary established with investment from Alibaba’s Intelligent Information Business Group, namely UCWeb (China) Co., Ltd. Huicheng Information Technology is primarily responsible for content security audits related to the Intelligent Information Business Group, including various businesses such as UC Browser, Quark App, and Shuqi Novels.

2023 International Chinese Course Starts in TEDA

The International Chinese Course organized by TEDA Community College has officially started. Twelve students from eight countries, including the United States, Russia, Germany, Japan, Nepal, Indonesia, Hungary, and India, are learning Chinese in a small class. This term is a free public service program including ten sessions. It not only teaches foreign students common Chinese oral expressions and basic dialogues but also includes traditional Chinese culture experience courses such as calligraphy, Guzheng (a traditional Chinese musical instrument), tea art, and cooking. This allows students to enhance their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while deepening their understanding of Chinese culture.
