UCB China Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with TEDA


TEDA Administrative Commission and UCB China officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a new era of innovative collaboration in exploring the biopharmaceutical industry. UCB is a globally leading innovative biopharmaceutical company established in Belgium in 1928. UCB will leverage its expertise in research and development of innovative medicines and solutions to transform the lives of people living with severe diseases in the immune and nervous systems as well as rare diseases. The agreement aims to introduce advanced R&D technologies and other innovative collaboration patterns in TEDA.

Three Major Projects of CHN Energy Settle in TEDA


TEDA Administrative Commission signed project cooperation agreements with three subsidiaries of the CHN Energy respectively. CHN Energy’s Tianjin Regional Headquarters Project will consolidate the group’s institutions in Tianjin, facilitating the further development of the group’s business in the area. CHN Energy Coke (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is established and will serve as a vital channel for coal imports in Sino-Mongolian cooperation as well as a sales center in Tianjin that integrates domestic and international trade. Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. will jointly establish a new energy investment company with Tianjin TEDA Co., Ltd. and Tianjin TEDA Power Co., Ltd. The business will involve wind and photovoltaic projects, as well as the construction of a green ammonia and green hydrogen industrial chain base.

TEDA Welcomes Two New Chemical Materials Projects


The second phase of the Linggas R&D Industrialization Base and the core raw material R&D pilot-scale project of Rianlon New Materials for nucleic acid drugs settles in TEDA. Linggas positions its plant in Nangang as the group’s headquarters, research and development center, and main production base. The first phase of the project is currently in operation and the trial production of the second phase is planned for July 2025. Rianlon’s project is dedicated to the research and industrialization of products such as nucleosides, nucleotides and their derivatives, and gene sequencing materials.

TEDA Commercial Factoring Industry Welcomes New Major Players


Guotai Leasing Limited Company, Hengtai Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd., Bravat (China) Sanitary Wares Co., Ltd., and Hebei CIEIS Industrial Group Co., Ltd. have each established a commercial factoring company in TEDA. TEDA is one of the pioneering pilot areas in China to initiate commercial factoring business. Currently, there are more than 150 active factoring enterprises in the region, with total assets of over 150 billion yuan. Additionally, TEDA has introduced more than 30 pioneering industry standards and innovative policies.

Orilife Pilot-Scale R&D Platform Goes into Production in TEDA


Tianjin Orilife Biopharma Co., Ltd.’s nucleotide monomers pilot-scale research and development platform has officially started production in TEDA Industrial Park. Primarily engaged in the research, production, and sales of modified nucleotides, RNA and DNA phosphoramidite monomers, and nucleic acid drug synthesis carriers, this platform can meet customers’ diverse needs for batch customization and production.

A TEDA Enterprise Obtains EU MDR Certification


Sino Medical Sciences Technology Inc. (Sinomed), an enterprise in TEDA, obtains the EU MDR certification for its HT Supreme™ Drug-Eluting Stent System as it meets the latest access conditions for the EU market. The System has received EU CE (MDD) certification in December 2019. The MDR certification obtained this time adheres to the new regulations for medical devices in Europe, with stricter requirements in areas such as technical document review, clinical assessment, and post-market supervision.

TEDA Entrepreneurial Base for Overseas Professionals Achieves New Breakthrough


Recently, at the 4th Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Forum, the National Offshore Entrepreneurial Base for Overseas Professionals (Tianjin Binhai) was officially unveiled at the Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park in TEDA. Furthermore, the “all-purpose card” platform, an intelligent matching and service platform for overseas talent policies, was officially launched at the forum. The platform consolidates policies from various departments, including human resources, science and technology, commerce, and industry, among others. After logging in as a registered member of overseas talents, the talent can inquire about relevant policies, initiate applications or entrust the platform to handle applications, and check the progress of relevant matters.
