International Day for Biological Diversity Held in TEDA
On May 13th, the International Day for Biological Diversity was held by TEDA at the Novo Nordisk A/S Tianjin manufacturing plant, with attendants like TEDA business representatives, environmental protection associations members, scientific research experts, and birdwatching enthusiasts. This event innovatively explored a biodiversity protection model joining park, enterprise and society together. Through measures such as corporate alliance and scientific monitoring, the event mobilized all resources to form an ecological governance pattern with government playing a guiding role, enterprises as key players, and public participation.
During the event, TEDA launched the "Novo Nordisk Cup" bird photography contest, kicking off the bird survey activity in the core area of TEDA. From May to December this year, Novo Nordisk will collaborate with professional ecological research teams to conduct systematic monitoring and analysis of birds in terms of types, quantities, and habitats in the core area of TEDA. In addition, the TEDA Biodiversity Protection Alliance was officially established, which was initiated by Novo Nordisk and joined by 19 enterprises in the region. The alliance will fully play the exemplary role of member companies in biological diversity protection. It will also carry out diverse ecological activities, and promote the green and sustainable development of the region.
