TEDA’s Multiple Measures to Support Foreign Talents Development
Recently, TEDA organized the 2025 Online Job Fair for Foreigners, providing training in English, Japanese, and Korean. It not only covered professional knowledge such as national and Tianjin municipal laws and regulations regarding foreign employment and residence but also included introductions to the history, culture, and local customs of Tianjin. This multi-dimensional approach aims to help foreign talents integrate into TEDA.
“This is a unique online meet-and-greet, and the staffs delivered very patient and detailed explanations. I am excited about working and living life in TEDA”, said Amr Emadeldin Abdelmoneim Hamed from Egypt.
As one of China’s best economic development zones in terms of scale, openness and investment environment, TEDA has always regarded international talent services as an important measure to expand opening up and outward-oriented economy at a higher level, and continuously attract and utilize global innovation resources. TEDA drafted a Talent Map based on its industrial layout, and established a one-stop international talent service platform and Tianjin’s first Foreign-related Service and Business Welcome Workstation to provide one-stop services for foreigners coming to China. It also offers 14 categories of 39 value-added services. The integrated talent service chain keeps improving, boosting the internationalization of regional talent.
In this year, TEDA has brought in 44 foreign talents, including 13 high-end foreign talents (Class A). It has also handled work permit-related services for 32 foreign talents above the statutory working age limit and provided targeted services for 83 foreign talents from 13 enterprises and public institutions. The rapid integration of foreign talents into regional development became the norm.
