TEDA Speeds up the Building of High Ground of Intellectual Property Operation

Lately, the Tianjin Intellectual Property Office announced the List of 2025 Tianjin Industrial Intellectual Property Operation Centers. Two TEDA-based enterprises, CanSino Biologics Inc. (CanSinoBIO) and Tianjin TEDA City Development Group Co., Ltd., were respectively recognized as the municipal-level IP operation centers for the vaccine manufacturing and green petrochemical industry. Focusing on biomedicine and green petrochemicals fields, the two operation centers will build a system to transfer the lab-to-market activities and create an integrated innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem combining the strength of industries, universities, research institutions and application fields. They will form new channels for IP research, output and transformation.

In recent years, TEDA has continuously improved the full-chain IP service system. We promoted the establishment of the TEDA Intellectual Property Operation Center and the TEDA Intellectual Property Service Industrial Cluster. We also supported the National Supercomputing Tianjin Center in Tianjin (NSCC-TJ) and Asymchem Laboratories （Tianjin） Co.， Ltd. in building specialized IP operation centers. In the future, TEDA will take the opportunity of building specialized parks such as Nangang Industrial Zone, Nucleic Acid Pharmaceutical Park and Tianhe Digital Industry Park to continuously optimize the IP operation and management mechanisms.In terms of IP creation, we will strengthen the patent portolio development of leading enterprises, build key industry patent pools, and actively cultivate enterprises with IP advantages. Regarding IP operation, we will promote the construction of intellectual property innovation consortium. As for IP protection, we will strengthen cooperation with intellectual property offices at municipal and district levels and related institutions to substantially enhance the comprehensive IP application capabilities of enterprises.
