China (Tianjin) - Finland Green Technology Forum Held in TEDA

On June 10th, the China (Tianjin) - Finland Green Technology Forum was held in TEDA. The forum was hosted by the Tianjin Commission of Commerce, Business Finland, and the TEDA Administrative Commission, and co-organized by the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China. The forum brought together representatives from the Embassy of Finland in China, Business Finland, a dozen of Finnish companies in new energy and circular economy, as well as attendees from Tianjin institutions and companies in the fields of new energy, intelligent equipment, and environmental protection technology. They engaged in in-depth discussions on green energy, energy conservation, environmental protection, and circular economy, exploring cooperation opportunities.

Liang Nan, Second-Level Inspector of the Tianjin Commission of Commerce, stressed that Tianjin has always been committed to promoting the green industries development, while Finland possessed advanced technology in the fields like green energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and circular economy. He hoped that this forum will serve as an opportunity to deepen cooperation between enterprises in both regions.

Marko Tiesmäki, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Finland in China and Country Director of Business Finland in China, stated that the Embassy of Finland in China will fully support cooperation between China and Finland in green and sustainable development areas.

During the forum, Song Yuyan, Director of the Secretariat of the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China, delivered a keynote speech. TEDA also showcased its achievements and main initiatives in the development of green industries.

At the forum, Finnish companies such as BMH Technology and Geobear introduced their cutting-edge technologies in the fields of green energy and energy conservation. Lindström, a Finnish company in TEDA, shared local green practice cases. The speaker from Great Wall Motors stated that the heat pump and energy-saving technologies of Finnish companies are highly compatible with the green development of Great Wall Motors. They will further invite Finland enterprises for in-depth cooperation. Metso Corporation also expressed that the company will take this opportunity to achieve sustainable development of construction waste and power battery recycling businesses in Tianjin.

This year, TEDA has organized a series of international industry match-making events such as “2025 European Enterprises China Tour” to build an exchange platform between Chinese and foreign enterprises, promoting deep cooperation among enterprises. In the future, TEDA will continue to promote the cooperation of production capacity globally to achieve high-quality development of the region.
