TEDA Strengthens Foreign Talent Services for Enterprises
Recently, the 2025 Foreigner Work Permit Policy Training Session was held at TEDA Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park. This event focused on the Guidelines of Tianjin Municipality for Handling Work Permits for Foreigners Visiting China (Version 2.0) and integration system of the work permit and social security card in the foreigner work management service system in China. It invited professionals to provide on-site explanations, attracting over 70 foreign affairs specialists from nearly 50 companies.
Enterprise representatives highly praised the professionalism and practicality of the event. A representative of Toyota stated that the training enabled companies to systematically and deeply understand the latest policies and specific application procedures for a work permit for foreigners visiting China, which will help increase the approval rate of expatriates applications for work permits and electronic social security cards.
This training is part of TEDA’s series of activities to deepen ongoing reforms in “streamlining the government, delegating power, and improving government services”, and implement the standardized and facilitated administrative licensing. It aims to build a more efficient, interconnected, and collaborative foreign work management system featuring scientific governance, public participation, and shared oversight. Since the beginning of this year, TEDA has held multiple specialized service initiatives for foreign talent services, including policy briefings and hands-on training sessions to make the service more rational, standardized, IT-based and in alignment with global practice. Such efforts will help improve the high-quality development of the region.
