A Key Project of CHN Energy Settles in TEDA

On November 6, CHN Energy Coke (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was established in TEDA. The company has a registered capital of approximately 1 billion RMB and is a key project of CHN Energy aimed at implementing the Belt and Road Initiative. After its establishment, it will leverage the geographical advantages of TEDA to become an important channel for coal imports in China-Mongolia cooperation. In addition to domestic trade, it will also diversify its sources of high-quality coal and create an integrated domestic and international sales center in Tianjin. Furthermore, CHN Energy Coke will utilize the transportation and sales networks of the CHN Energy Group, as well as downstream industries in electricity, coal chemicals, and new energy. The aim is to achieve cross-industry and cross-sector vertical integration development.
CHN Energy is a result of the merger and reorganization of China Guodian Corporation and Shenhua Group, both of which are Fortune Global 500 companies. It boasts assets worth over 1.8 trillion RMB and operates in eight industrial sectors, including coal, thermal power, new energy, hydropower, transportation, chemicals, technology and environmental protection, and finance. It is the world’s largest coal producer, thermal power generation company, wind power generation company, and coal-to-liquids and coal chemical company.
