German Hidden Champion RAMPF Starts Trial Production of Northern High-end Materials Base in TEDA

On October 29, RAMPF New Material Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Germany’s RAMPF Group, kicked off trial production in Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA. As a global hidden champion in its niche sector, the project specializes in special new materials for high-end equipment. Upon full capacity, it will deliver an annual output of 15,000 tonnes of sealing materials, 1,000 tonnes of resin mold materials, 3,000 cubic meters of resin mold sheets and 6,000 tonnes of mineral castings.

The products will be applied in new energy vehicles, semiconductor packaging equipment, precision machine tools, aerospace mold and more. The company is a supplier of global leading automakers including Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The facility will fill the supply gap of special new materials for high-end equipment in northern China and deliver local material support for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei clusters of new energy vehicles and integrated circuits.

According to RAMPF Group CEO, Nangang’s robust petrochemical foundation and the huge high-end manufacturing market of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region were core factors behind the investment. Dedicated full-cycle services from TEDA teams ensured smooth and efficient project delivery. TEDA is already home to well-established German enterprises such as Volkswagen and SEW, with a mature service system for foreign investors.
