TEDA: One of China’s Top 100 Business Environment Cases for Development Zones

Recently, at the 2024 China Development Zones Business Environment Construction Conference, the list of “China’s Top 100 Business Environment Cases for Development Zones (2024)” was released. Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) was selected in the list.

The business environment serves as the foundation for the survival and development of enterprises and is key to enhancing a city’s competitiveness. TEDA pioneered the concept of an industry-specific business environment through research, focusing on three major industries within the zone: biomedicine, petrochemical new materials, and the platform economy. TEDA was the first in China to establish and implement an industry-specific business environment indicator system, while proactively exploring new management models that align with industrial development. By addressing the pain points and obstacles related to the business environment of leading industries, significant progress has been made. Going forward, TEDA will continue its research to optimize the industry-specific business environment, further enhancing the competitiveness of its leading industries.
